Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

The Zephyrus G14 is a special gaming laptop. Its a very premium high quality device with excellent performance for its size.

The 2025 version of the G14 is improved over the 2024. It is around 15% faster in CPU and GPU performance. However there are alot of trade offs for its small size.

It gets very warm at all times, even in light use. The power fed to the GPU is also significantly limited. Even for the 5070 Ti. We found that it was rare the GPU was even fed what the manufacturer claimed. This leads to it significantly underperforming larger gaming laptops with the same GPU. Absolutely avoid the 5080 and 5090 models. Even the 5070 Ti is underfed. Before buying the 5070 version though, be careful, that GPU only has 8 GB of VRAM. Given the screens high resolution, that amount of VRAM is just not enough, and may also result in performance degredation.

Conclusion: Buy the 5070 or 5070 Ti versions only. If you get the 5070 Ti understand that you are sacrificing performance for portability
