Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 15

If you are looking for a premium looking & feeling laptop for light use, the Surface Laptop 7 15 is a good option.

- It looks stunning, especially the light blue color
- Its screen is bright, high resolution and offers a fast refresh rate
- Its keyboard is decently comfortable to type on
- Its trackpad is the best of any Windows laptop, on par with a MacBooks
- Its battery life is a little better than a Windows laptop with an Intel or AMD processor (at least as of June 2024)
- It has no fan noise in most use cases

However, there are cons:
- Not all applications will run, particularly speciality ones. These laptops use a new ARM based processor, so check that the applications you plan to run are compatible
- The laptop gets warm to the touch when running any performance task
- The X Elite chip in the 13inch model underperforms, so stick to the Plus variant if you buy a 13inch. The X Elite performs well enough in the 15inch model though
