The Nitro is one of the only gaming laptops that is still available under $1,000, and that is really reflected in some of the choices Acer made. It performs on the lower end with a GPU that is underfed wattage, has a mediocre screen, and its fan noise is very loud. It oscillates on and off even on its quiet mode. On the positive, if it's all you can afford, you will still be getting a laptop that is relatively well built with a surprisingly nice keyboard, and the performance is still good enough for modern gaming at HD resolution on high settings. We'd just recommend running it on balanced for the fan noise issue.
