Watch Review
Pros

Premium feeling laptop

Compact lightweight and portable

Great panel - bright, fast refresh rate, high enough resolution

Comfortable keyboard

Excellent haptic trackpad

Broad application compatibility with Intel Lunar Lake processor

Cons

Has coil whine. Electrical noise that can be heard in a silent room

Battery life is shorter than some competitors due to small battery

More expensive than Qualcomm Snapdragon variant

Microsoft has begun selling an Intel Lunar Lake version of their Surface Laptop 7 13 and 15 to businesses. Although everyone can buy it via their website.

If you are looking for a premium laptop for light use, the Surface Laptop 7 13 is a great option. You could not ask for a better laptop for browsing the web, working on office documents, and those sorts of tasks. The Intel version, solves many issues with the Qualcomm version. Mainly it has broad application compatibility. It also doesn't get as warm to the touch and has slightly better battery life.

We recommend getting the Ulttra 5 version over the Ultra 7. Its cheaper and performs similar other than for graphics. The integrated graphics in the Ultra 7 chip is faster.
